Maritime businesses in the Gothenburg Region

Maritime business is identified as an area with great potential to contribute to value creation and employment at both European, national and regional levels.

In 2012, long-term work began in the Gothenburg region, Orust Länk till annan webbplats. and Uddevalla Länk till annan webbplats. to take advantage of and develop the qualities in the coastal zone.

As part of a continuation of the inter-municipal coastal zone work, the Gothenburg region participates in the EU Interreg project Land-Sea-Act Länk till annan webbplats. (Land-Sea-Act Land-sea interactions advancing Blue Growth in Baltic Sea coastal areas).

The Gothenburg region's part of the project, which is co-financed by the Swedish Maritime Administration Länk till annan webbplats., is about preparing a basis for a sub-regional maritime business strategy to create conditions for the integration of a maritime business perspective in coastal and maritime planning.
